Media's crucial role in the reporting of HIV/AIDS

Botswana was recognised in 2001 as the country with the highest percentage of its population living with HIV/AIDS. Through a series of workshops and practical exercises journalists were encouraged to shift away from negative reporting and seek out positive stories about people living with HIV/AIDS to help change attitudes and reduce social discrimination.
