Olena Sadovnik

Olena plays a key role in managing programs across the Thomson group, fostering collaboration, optimising workflows, and overseeing strategic programmes to advance media freedom.

Since 2015, she successfully lead media development projects in Ukraine and Kazakhstan to strengthen newsroom capacity and journalistic standards. In 2019, she transitioned to support independent media in-house, applying her expertise in fundraising and operations to enhance media resilience.

Olena brings to Thomson her experience from the media development and civil society sector, major international organizations, including the United Nations in Ukraine and Media.

A Fulbright Scholar, she holds an MA in Communications from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY, USA. Fluent in Ukrainian and English, she is currently learning German and Portuguese.
