Project leader & media management
Dominique is the project team leader for the OPEN media hub, a four year multi-million euro programme to support and train independent media in 17 of the countries neighbouring the European Union.
A french journalist and trainer, he is a media management expert with 20 years’ experience in developing media programmes at international levels. He has spent much of that time as a team leader managing training and capacity-building media programmes in many EU and Neighbourhood (bordering) countries such as Algeria, Azerbaijan, Belarus (from Vilnius), Georgia, Jordan, Libya (from Tunis), Moldova, Morocco, Tunisia, Ukraine. He has extensive experience in EU institutions acquired with seven years as Brussels Chief Correspondent for french public radios.
He spent ten years in the Balkans managing media support programmes, providing in house management expertise to PBS and news agencies. He also founded several radio stations.
He holds a Master of Arts in Political Science from the Institut d’Études Politiques of Grenoble and a Master of Arts in International Journalism from the City University of London.
He speaks French, English and Serbo-Croatian and has a knowledge of Russian; born in Morocco, he has some understanding of colloquial Arabic.
