Camera & mobile journalism
Crispin's latest work for the Thomson Foundation has been training in filming and mobile journalism for our media capacity building project in Sudan.
An award winning producer and a Royal Television Society nominated news cameraman, he still works in the news industry, and in doing so brings latest techniques and practices to the learning forum of teaching.
He has worked for the BBC in East Africa and around the globe for many other major news organisations.
Skilled across camerawork, sound, lighting, editing, directing and producing, Crispin has become a passionate advocate of modern digital media and in creating new ways for people from challenged areas of the world, tell their story by teaching them how to film and edit on their mobile phone. This simple and effective way of film making is helping bring attention to rarely told stories.
