Georgian-born and UK-based Zurab is former executive director for the first Caucasus channel (PIK) in Tbilisi, Georgia, and divisional director for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) in Prague.
Zurab has worked in countries including Afghanistan, Iraq, Rwanda, Haiti, Kosovo, Georgia, Chechnya, Armenia and Azerbaijan. He speaks fluent Russian, English and Georgian. He is the CEO of PING, an innovative media app currently in development.
He is running training courses for two of the foundation’s major projects: field print production for the Ukraine Regional Voices programme and media management mentoring for print and online for the OPEN Media Hub, a four-year multi-million euro project to support and train independent media in 17 countries bordering the European Union.
